Surgery at 8!am went well. The OR staff and anesthesia was very caring and thorough. Did not have any, literally any pain until 2:30 am when the surgical cocktail in my L knee wore off. I received Toradol in my IV and Tramodol orally. Walking was suggested by my nurse. I wasn’t sure, but had almost immediate relief upon standing and walking. When I returned ice was placed with a lot of relief. Was able to get a few hours of sleep. PT in the morning after breakfast. Then OT. The meals were amazing as was the entire staff from the hospitalist, nursing staff, techs, food staff, chef and security. Dr Swenson stopped by twice after my surgery. More PT and OT the following day..and a shower .. that made all the difference. Was home today after two nights.. would definitely suggest staying two nights. Arrived home about noon today. Immediately went to bed elevating my knee for about three hours followed by my PT and then walking and ice packs. Now the real work begins. Thanks to all of the staff and my loving wife I’m off to a good start.

Thank you to the chef and head Dr for stopping by. Specifically like to call out Kris - PT, Sue RN, Glenda (especially understanding the need for some sleep!), Ursula, Kayla, Megan, Rochelle, all awesome! Lori’s OT also awesome! Thank you all so much for my 2nd knee replacement after a hip replacement last year 7/31/2022. AWESOME SERVICE!

I would definitely recommend OHOW hands down!! From the security at check in to the pre op to the hospital stay and discharge Every single moment was a pleasure! I’ve never felt so cared for EVER! My 5 year old son was a patient and I’m scribbing his review. “I broke my arm and had to have surgery. It scared me when they wanted me to put on the mask that made me sleepy. I wanted to stay awake and fully enjoy the experience. I was nervous to take the medication in my room before surgery but the nurses were nice to me and even let me play with water syringes to keep me calm. They also let me hold the syringe with the medicine (mom note: liquid sedative pre-op for children). I got a new stuffy Beary and he also had a cast like me and needed surgery. They even gave a stuffy to my little sister who came to cheer me on. The nice nurse even made sure Beary had a hair cover for the operating room. After surgery I saw my parents and got to eat Oreos. I love all of the doctors who helped me.Love Amzai

What a wonderful experience! OHOW is full of extraordinary people willing to help and always with a smile on their face. Going in for bilateral knee replacement had me feeling pretty anxious but they had me at ease from the moment I walked in until they wheeled me out 3 days later. The staff and food is A-1!

I had a TKR at this hospital on September 6, 2023. The surgeon who did the surgery was Dr. John Kroner - one of a great attributes doctors known. Wonderful, wonderful experience at this facility. The hospital was very clean from front door to inpatient room. Staffs was very caring and friendly. And the food is delicious and made to order…even got a personal in-room visited from the chef himself to see if food was satisfactory. I just can not say enough how much I appreciate being well taken care off during my short 3 days stay. Dr. Kroner is one of the best and experienced orthopedic surgeon in the area. I am 9 weeks post-op and recovering well ROM 106/01 and going… I do have a LT-TKR coming up in 6months and looking forward to it…Never thought I would say this 👍😉 Thank you again! I would highly recommend this hospital…Keep it up 👍

Underwent quad tendon repair and stayed one night and it was the best care I’ve ever received from EVERYONE I came in contact with. Attentive service, precise documentation and knowledgeable explanations to every question I had to the surgeon, the nurses, assistants, PT and OT specialists. I recently had a surgery done by Dr. John Wu. He was great and easy to work with. Surgery went well and recovering faster than expected. The staff that helped prep for surgery were extremely nice and were great to work with. Highly recommend!
